AFC Champoinship Odds

After busting out of the gate with an offensive explosion in Week 1 the New England Patriots are heavy favorite to win the AFC Crown at Bodog.

New England’s offense began the season in mid-season form, as Tom Brady passed for 517 yards and four touchdowns in a win over Miami. The Patriots were already the favorites in the AFC, but their impressive Week 1 showing bumped them up to 5/2 on the AFC futures at Bodog.

The Pats aren’t the only ones that parlayed a strong Week 1 game into better future odds. The Baltimore Ravens are also soaring up the odds list after taking apart Pittsburgh in their season opener. The Ravens beat up on the Steelers on both sides of the ball in a 35-7 win with three touchdowns from Joe Flacco and seven turnovers from the defense. That moved the Ravens up to 11/2 on the Bodog odds list and they could continue to rise if they keep crushing their opponents.

One of the best options for bettors right now could be the Houston Texans at 13/2 on the AFC futures. Houston clobbered the Colts 34-7 in Week 1 and that was without running back Arian Foster. Could this finally be the year Houston steps up and wins their first division title? With a balanced offense and an improving defense under new coordinator Wade Phillips the Texans are a serious contender in the AFC this season.

While the Texans are rising up the ranks the usual suspects in the AFC South, the Colts are tumbling. Indianapolis, who usually ranks among the AFC elite is in big trouble without QB Peyton Manning and the oddsmakers have taken notice. The Colts are way down on the Bodog odds list at 35/1 and could be huge value if Manning gets back into to get them into the playoff picture.
